Review 1:
I was so pleased to find that I could order this product on line. I could only buy it in stores and they all discontinued this effective product. We lived in frigid NY for years and now live in toasty NC. It works wonderfully well in both climates to keep lips moist and unchapped. Great, effective lip balm.

Review 2:
Great item, best lip balm I have ever found. Does not feel greasy and keeps lips moisturized for hours outside in the wind. Wish I could find it easier in stores! Thanks Amazon for keeping it online. Always know where I can get it!!

Review 3:
I've been using Mentholatum products since I was a child so I always remebered the name. Years later, as a teen and one of those who suffers from easily chapped lips, I purchased every brand and type lip balm there is and this is the best bar none! The other 'famous' brand, such as WaxSticks actually mad my lips worse for some reason, the more I used it, the worse it became. The only problem with this is availability, I've noticed I could find it at retails locations on the west but not in the east coast. Aside from that, its a great product. One of the few products I keep a stock of at al times. Give it a try, you won't regret it!

Review 4:
We have used Mentholatum Natural Ice Lip Balm for decades. It is not wax like Capstick, it is not Grease like Blistex. It medicates and protects when applied before being out in summer or winter. It heals chapped lips, noses, and other skin quickly. We call it the GOOD STUFF. When backpacking or Canoeing with teens and others and someone says, "Anybody have some Chapstick?" several of us who use Mentholatum Natural Ice will reply, "Let's make a convert!" Then they use Natural Ice and discover how good it truly is. The only problem is our local pharmacy that stocked Natural Ice was bought out by a chain that does not offer Natural Ice. Amazon has a new customer; we bought 2 boxes and took some to our daughter in another state.

Review 5:
I love this stuff. I have been in Cheyenne, Wyoming when it is -10F and 80 mph winds, and in Doha, Qatar when it has been 128F, Iraq where it is 110F and the wind feels like a hair dryer. This product has been on my lips through all of it. Natural Ice is the only one for me.

Review 6:
The Natural Ice lipbalm was produced in a tube (like Carmex) in the early 1990s and was the best lip product I've ever used...it lasted forever, was cheap, and worked _really_ well. But they quit making it sometime around 1998 and replaced it with this stick version. The stick is just not as good; it costs more, doesn't last as long (the package, not per application), and it's more subject to melting in hot weather. Still, I've tried probably two dozen similar products and Natural Ice is the only one that really works for me-- particularly in Minnesota winters, when it often hits -20F and is really windy.

I probably have ten sticks of Natural Ice around the house/car/work and always have one in my pocket. The only way to improve it (other than bringing back the old tube version) would be to sell it in multi-packs like Chapstick and Blistex do.

Review 7:
Omg, I was taken back by surprise when I first applied this lip balm on my lips. I'm used to using name brands like Chapstick which you can find anywhere and people know the name because it's that popular. Later, I transfer to Banana Boat's lip balm because it had high ratings as well as SPF to protect my lips from the sun. Last year, I was shopping around the Beauty department on Amazon and notice this particular lip balm was being highly touted. I was running out of lip balm, so I decided to try this one out and see what the big deal is. It moisturizes, protects my lips from the sun, and seems like a decent price ($12.16 for a pack of 12 so that's about $1.01 each). As you apply the lip balm onto your lips, you start getting an instant tingly/mint feeling wherever you applied the lip balm to. Lip balm is like toothbrush to me, their brand or how cheap they cost doesn't matter to me as long as they work. However, this lip balm is really different. Instead of a chore to remember to put on lip balm, I find it enjoyable with this one. It's a real nice feeling like the lap balm is working. I had really dry skin (so dry it hurts) on the sides of my mouth a few days ago and I immediately applied this balm and the skin on the sides of my mouth felt so much better. At the time that I bought these lip balm (back in December 2008), the Cherry flavor one had good ratings, but I went with the Original Flavor one, so I can't provide feedback on the Cherry flavor. I recommend the Original Flavor one, almost minty flavoring. Because I bought a pack of 12, I ended up giving away some as presents. These make pretty considerate stuffers.

Review 8:
I used to buy this lip balm for my kids because they used to eat the flavored kind. Then, we noticed that nobody was getting cold sores, something my stepdaughter used to get often. This is absolutely the best lip balm ever! It doesn't melt in the dryer, if it's accidentally washed and dried. But, the best thing about Mentholatum Lip Balm is that it really works, and it works well. Too bad it's not made anymore. If I had known it was going to be taken off the market, I would have stocked up!

Review 9:
I bought this on Amazon when it was going for $18+, as of right now, its just over $12, which is probably cheaper than in stores...that is if you can find it in store.

This is the only kind of chapstick I've used for years. Take it from an upstate new yorker who has to face crazy winters, this thing works and not just on your lips either, dry-skin and so on. It just cools your lips and skin and you can feel it. The smell is nice, as in, no headachly smell.

The one thing about this is, it works so well, that it pretty much moisten my lips too much, and stayed on for so long, that sometimes I just needed to wipe.

Review 10:
I used to buy this lip balm at Wal Mart and they stopped selling them. Living in northern Maine winters are brutal on your lips and I have tried all different kinds of lip balms but none compared to Natural Ice. Now I just buy it by the dozen at Amazon and make sure I have some available always.. Great product, it stays longer on your lips reducing the amount of applications, it heals and soothes cracked lips fast. Like I said earlier the other lip balms out there don't even come close. You will not be sorry to buy this product.
